Description
An ancient watchtower dating from the 1200s on the border between Fiorenza and Siena, a post for wayfarers and messengers to change horses for refreshments. Additions have been made around the still visible tower. Two neighboring buildings and the detached barn, the swimming pool surrounded by the solarium and the level grounds, at the back the woods to protect and shelter this little gem. The main farmhouse is divided into 7 apartments with a total of about 30 beds. Each apartment has one or two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and a private outdoor space. On the ground floor of this building is the "tinaia" characterized by the typical brick vaulted ceiling. In a defiladed position a smaller building with a large covered loggia and various covered technical spaces. The third building, the old barn is detached, has a large loggia in front, on two levels, a large room that serves as a living area on the main level, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower level.
Outdoor Spaces
The farmhouse surrounded by 20 hectares of mostly woodland. Part of it is flat and lends itself to be used as land for cultivation or to make a soccer field or tennis court. In a sheltered area is the swimming pool that measures 12 x 6 meters surrounded by the solarium lined with imperial quartzite that offers the advantage of never getting too hot, even on the hottest days. The part of the land closest to the house of about 5,000 sq. m. is surrounded by an electrified fence that provides additional security. The paths surrounding the house allow for hiking and walking in the surrounding woods and countryside.
State and finishes
The renovation of the rooms is very current and in typical Tuscan style with original materials. This attention is also well visible in the outdoor spaces, in fact, no overhead cables are visible in order to give as little visual impact as possible. The technical spaces, although present, are well hidden from view by strategic plant bushes.
